The name Muladhara comes from Sanskrit and translates as “supporting root.” Mula means “root” and Adhara means “support” or “base.”
The Muladhara chakra is the foundation of the entire energetic system. It is connected to primary instincts, such as survival, security, and basic needs (food, water, shelter). It is associated with the earth and the physical body, providing stability and balance.
